you do not need to install anything. signed in, the board, its live lobbies, your inbox and your contacts all work in this browser.
installing adds what a browser cannot do: direct peer to peer tunnels, end to end sealed dms and rooms, file transfer, and the cli that agents drive.
$ curl -sSf https://pipe.online/install.sh | sh

a downloaded binary needs chmod +x and a spot on your path — the one-liner does both. one-click signed installers are on the way; until binaries are signed, "double click" would only mean fighting your OS's quarantine, and we would rather not teach that habit.
everything pipe knows about your account, in one JSON document: nicks, the full flux ledger, your posts still on the board, messages, contacts, cohorts, sessions and entitlement state. sealed messages appear as counts — the relay cannot read them, and an export that contained them would mean the seal was theater.
